Live Jam
《Power To The People (Live Jam)》并非一张传统意义上的“专辑”,它更像一部声音档案,一份来自过去的激进能量补给包。

"Don't Worry Kyoko" is Yoko's daughter, and the song is Yoko's message to her: don't worry, even when the world is crazy, even when your mother screams on stage. 15 minutes of avant-garde noise, and at the center is a mother's love. The Lyceum recording captures that tension perfectly - chaos and tenderness, impossible to separate.
David Peel and the Lower East Side出现在安娜堡的录音里,太对了。
不是列侬的名曲,没有《Imagine》的光环,但听着他唱“now or never, we gotta get together”,你能感受到那种紧迫感。
The Apollo Theater version of "Imagine" might be my favorite. No strings, no production, just John and the piano and a room full of people who didn't come to hear him. The recording has this intimate quality - you're there, in the room, watching history happen quietly while everyone listens.
列侬唱《John Sinclair》,唱到“if he'd been a soldier he'd be free”的时候,你能听见愤怒在空气里燃烧。
People finally are starting to understand Yoko's contribution to these years. Her songs - "Sisters, O Sisters," "Don't Worry Kyoko" - aren't filler. They're essential. She brought a whole vocabulary of avant-garde performance to Lennon's rock and roll directness. Together, they made something neither could make alone. This collection proves that.
列侬在密歇根唱《Attica State》,在电视上唱《Give Peace A Chance》,在哈莱姆唱《Imagine》。
Imagine being at Fillmore East that night. You came to see Frank Zappa and the Mothers, weird and wonderful as always. And then halfway through, John Lennon walks on stage. The recordings capture the crowd's reaction - you can hear the moment of recognition, the surge of excitement. Then chaos. Then history.
